My work day was pretty busy today - lots of meetings in the morning and lots to get done in the afternoon. I was able to get home by 6pm though - which was earlier than yesterday! We ate dinner and watched a couple of shows. Then my sister and her boys came over. Wendel and I had a picnic and then got out the game of LIFE (he likes to get the game out and set-up the board and play with the cars, the people, and the money). My hubby and brother-in-law decided to go out back on the patio, so we all headed outside to enjoy the summer night. I asked Wendel if he wanted to help water the flowers - but he seemed to like watering everything but the flowers - including himself and me! We ended up putting him in his swim diaper and just letting him enjoy the water! While he was playing with the water - the big boys played cornhole and my sister was feeding Oliver inside. In-between getting sprayed by Wendel, I picked weeds from our flowerbeds. Such a fun and yet productive aunt I am. :)
Thought of the Day: "A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken." ~James Dent
My husband and I got married in 2005 and tried to start our family back in January 2008. We started our 1st round of in-vitro in December 2010 - which is when this blog was started. Despite a near perfect cycle, it resulted in a negative pregnancy test in February 2011. We were fortunate to get 6 extra embryos from that cycle that were frozen. In March 2011 we started a Frozen Embryo Transfer cycle. Despite another great cycle (on paper), all 6 of our frozen embryos had to be thawed to get 2 good ones for transfer - which failed to result in a pregnancy. In 2012, we took the first half of the year off and then tried a couple rounds of IUI with and without fertility shots - still no baby. In 2013, we did our 2nd round of in-vitro with my sister offering to be our gestational carrier. We ended up transferring 2 embryos into each of us and were blessed to welcome 4 babies in October 2013.
