All day yesterday I still felt full/bloated and my stomach was gurgling throughout the day. Even though I wasn't hungry, I made myself eat a little something for breakfast and lunch. Last night we had plans to go to a friend's 30th surprise party for one of our Charlotte friends that's originally from Ohio. Even though I wasn't feeling great - there was absolutely no way that I was missing that party. We were also planning on hanging out with my hubby's brother's family before the party - but I ended up having to cancel on them so I could try to rest before the birthday party. (You know this aunt isn't feeling well when I have to pass on seeing my nephews!) I ended up leaving work early and napped from 5-8pm to see if that would help. We headed down and picked up some dinner for my husband along the way. I still wasn't hungry (which was quite unbelievable!) so I just had some Sobe lifewater and some pretzels on the way down for my dinner. When we first got to the bar, I wasn't feeling that great - but as the night went on my stomach seemed to calm down. I started off with water and then switched to 7Up..... party animal!! We had a great time though and it was so good to celebrate with our friends. We miss them lots - so it was nice to catch up! We ended up staying out pretty late and got home around 2:30am. I never would've made it out that long without my nap! Happy 30th, Bethany!!! :)
When my alarm went off this morning at 6:45am, I felt like we had just laid down to go to bed. Despite my husband feeling a little groggy, he remembered his "male nurse" skills from last round and was able to give me the Lupron shot. I didn't feel a thing! I will be getting 10 units of Lupron every morning from now until they tell me to stop - probably sometime around the beginning of May. The purpose of the Lupron is to stop me from ovulating - when I get my next period (after I stop the birth control pills), they don't want me to ovulate for the FET. After the shot, we both quickly went back to bed to sleep for a few hours!
Tonight we're going to Dayton to see some of my husband's high school friends that we haven't seen in awhile. We are spending the night at their house, so we'll have to take our Lupron & sharps container with us for tomorrow morning. We are bringing dessert- so I need to head downstairs and bake some peanut butter cookies and make some Oreo No-Bake treats.
I'm not really sure what caused my stomach to be so crazy - but I'm glad that it's gone. I don't know if it was related to the food from Thursday's lunch or not. But I probably won't order that meal again from that restaurant - just in case! ;)
