Today was an exciting day at work! My interview this morning didn't end up being an interview at all. Based on the previous conversations I've had with the hiring manager and his manager over the past couple of weeks and the positive feedback they received from others, they decided to extend an offer to me. He said a couple times that I seem to have "quite a few fans" within the company. :) I was kind of hoping the interview was more of a formality, but was ready for a formal interview. Needless to say, I was REALLY relieved when he skipped over it and went right into the offer. HR sent me an official offer letter - but my current manager asked me to wait to sign it. But I definitely plan to accept their offer next week and look forward to this new chapter in my career to begin. Even though I'm super-excited, I am sad that I won't get to work as closely with the operational folks that I've gotten to know. It will be a little out of my comfort zone and I'll have to prove myself all over again - but I think I'm up for the challenge.
