After work we went over to the Wilcox house to meet little Burke. My hubby rode over with my sister and her family. I just headed there straight from work and got there a little bit after they arrived. For whatever reason, their 2nd son, Holden – who is almost 2) was NOT happy to see me. I haven’t been around him too much – so he doesn’t really know me. But our theory is that maybe since I showed up by myself – that he thought I was a baby-sitter and that his parents were going to leave. I tried to keep my distance at first – because every time he looked at me he would start to scream. After awhile, he could make eye contact me and just say “Mommy” a few times. Finally I was able to hand him toys and when I shared some cotton candy with him – we became good friends! Anyway, little Burke looked so tiny – just under a week old. Oliver seemed like a giant compared to him. Carson, the experienced big brother, was having fun playing with Wendel. It was a nice visit and good to meet the newest addition to the family!
