Last Month of Shots: Even though we've been transitioned back to Dr. Lindauer's care - we are both still continuing our post-transfer regimens of shots as instructed by Dr. Williams. After our appointment on 3/22, I went ahead and ordered the rest of the medicine. I'm getting 1/2 mL of progesterone each night - while my sister gets 1mL each morning. She also gets to keep doing her shot of estrogen on Monday/Thursday nights and takes some progesterone suppositories each night. I need to keep taking my shots through 11 weeks (4/18) and my sister needs to keep it up through 12 weeks (4/25). Neither of us are feeling any morning sickness - but we are s
FAQ Time: Since we found out that we have 4 little babes on the way, our minds have just been swirling with many of the same topics/questions that you may be wondering about as well. So here are our answers to a few of those questions....
- Will you find out the sexes of the babies in advance? Yes, we plan to find out. While we were going through the various treatment cycles that were so planned and precise - I kinda thought it would be fun to wait until the birth to find out the sex of our future baby. However, my husband said that he would prefer to find out. Now that we know there are four on the way - we definitely plan to find out. I think you can find out somewhere between 16-20 weeks - so we will probably find out sometime in May or June. Don't worry - I'll create another survey, so you can all weigh in with your guesses.
- Are you going to need/get a bigger house? No, we think our house is plenty big for the six of us. :) We have four bedrooms upstairs and figure the kiddos can share rooms. I definitely see bunk beds in our future. We're going to have to do some re-arranging - but right now, our plan is to make the largest guest room the nursery. My husband's office may get moved to the basement to free up another bedroom.
- Are you going to get a new car? Yes, my poor little Chevy Cavalier - who will be 11 years old in May - is probably going to get the boot as a result of all of these new babies. I see a mini-van in my future - but we'll see. We still have a little more time before we start any car shopping.
- How are you going to take care of 4 newborns? We are not sure exactly how we're going to care for 4 newborns, but I'm sure we will figure it out very quickly. It will just be all that we know and our plan is to try to get them all on a schedule ASAP. Easier said than done, I'm sure. My parents will also probably move down and help us out - as my dad is already retired and my mom is planning to retire after this year. My mother-in-law, a few of my husband's aunts, and one of my friends have offered to come help out as well. We will definitely be welcoming all of the help we can get! If you want a baby to hold this fall - our house will be THE place to be. :)
Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers - we appreciate everyone's enthusiasm and support for our 4 little miracles. In closing, I'll leave you with "When You Believe" by Mariah & Whitney. Good night!
