When we left the office yesterday, Penny said that we didn't have to stay in bed necessarily. She said we could be resting on the couch or recliner - wherever really. She also said that we could get up to use the bathroom and sit at the table for meals. I take a more strict approach to bed rest - hence we stayed in bed and just got up to use the potty. Figured it doesn't hurt to have stricter guidelines for our bed rest, right? Whenever either of us would start to get out of the bed, the other one would start to make an alarm sound. ;)
Tomorrow it's back to life, back to reality. I don't really feel like going back to work - but I'm sure it will be good to get back into a normal routine. 8 more days until the "results show" of this cycle.... feeling anxious already, but there's really nothing we can do but hope and pray for good news. I did do a little googling to see what was out there about Day 5 morula transfers and I was happy to find quite a few success stories out there on various blogs/forums. One of our friend's has another friend that has twins from IVF. She reached out to her to find out if it was a Day 3 or Day 5 transfer and whether they were blastocysts or morulas. Her friend responded saying that they did Day 5 morula transfers. She also said at the time she didn't think they had a chance, but those morulas ended up being their twins! So I'm doing my best to keep my spirits up and hope that we will still get good news next Thursday.
Thanks again for all of the love, support, and prayers! We appreciated everyone checking in on us during our bed rest. Tonight I'd like to request some prayers for Spare Bear who is 27 weeks along and fighting to keep her twin girls inside as long as possible. And safe travels to our friends heading to Costa Rica tomorrow! :)
