Shortly after that phone call, a pharmacist from the Apothecary called to get my insurance information. I wasn't sure if insurance would cover any of them, but it turned out that a few of them were slightly discounted with my insurance. Every little bit helps, right? They called back with the final amount - about 10% of our IVF shots/med cost. The pharmacist said they would get it sent out tonight and it should arrive tomorrow morning!
Later in the afternoon Mackenzie (one of Dr. Williams' nurses) called and let me know that our new folder was ready for this cycle. Yay!! She said that we could come in and review it with the nurses or they could mail it to us and we could call with any questions. Since this is our first round of FET, I thought it would be best to go in and meet with the nurses to review it and discuss any questions in person. We have that appointment lined up for Wednesday, 3/30 at 3:30pm. (I wonder if they use a different color folder for FET cycles- hee, hee.)
Even though we're going to meet with them on 3/30, we wanted to know what the scheduled embryo transfer date was on our FET cycle calendar. Mackenzie said it was scheduled for Friday, 5/13. Friday the 13th... what a lucky day, aye? ;) My husband is going to be out-of-town the first week of May - so we were glad that it is not the first week of May. Whew! I was also going to go with him to visit our family/friends down in North Carolina that week. But Mackenzie said that I would probably have an ultrasound scheduled for the Tues/Wed of that first week of May - so I'll have to see if we can make it work. We'll just wait until our meeting on 3/30 to figure out what makes sense for me travel-wise.
On a side note, I had 12 ladies in my aerobics class tonight. I taught a great class, if I do say so myself. :) Since FET isn't quite as intense as IVF, I'll be able to continue teaching and working out right up until the embryo transfer. From here on out, I'm going to start including this section at the bottom of my blog posts - to keep track of what we're doing throughout the FET process. Sound good? Great! Good night and sweet dreams!!
