At LabCorp, there were two gentlemen ahead of me - so I had a little bit of a wait. I also got a little scare. Nancy/McKenzie tell us to come to the LabCorp next to the doctor's office for the blood tests if we want the results the same day. But the LabCorp that's closest to me is always great at turning things around quickly, so I've been going to them for all of my progesterone and estrogen blood tests. So I went there again today - thinking that this test would be no different. When I handed the lab order sheet to the LabCorp lady, she asked if I knew that these results wouldn't be ready until tomorrow. Ugh - my heart sank a little! I told her that I was hoping to get the results today, since the other blood tests were always able to be turned around quickly. I think thanks to the friendly relationship I've built with her over my visits - she said that she'd make it right then. Whew! She had to call my doctor's office and talk to the nurses. Luckily, McKenzie answered and approved the "stat" request. Yay! So the results should get called into Nancy/McKenzie around 1pm this afternoon. Of course the LabCorp lady knew what kind of test this was so she asked me if I had taken any home pregnancy tests. She seemed impressed that I was able to hold off and mentioned that most ladies can't help but test at home. I explained how we just want to keep hope alive as long as possible.
