On Friday night, Elphie and my sister came over and we got Olive Garden to-go for dinner that night. It was delicious! They both brought some snacks - so we enjoyed some pretzel M&M's and Dove chocolates as well. It was nice having some QT with them both. My sister gave me my last nightly progesterone shot that night before she headed home. Elphie and I started to watch "Due Date" but the it wasn't very good/funny - so we switched to "Country Strong." It wasn't bad, but nothing I need to own or anything!
On Saturday, my sister came over to give me my morning progesterone shot. She came back a little later with my 2.5 year old nephew - who LOVED me being on bedrest. He got lots of extra TV time this weekend, hanging out with me in my bed. And he was being super-cute (which is pretty normal for him) asking me, "Aunt Annie - are you my best friend?" :) Elphie, my sister, and my nephew/BF left a little before lunchtime. I took a little nap and read some more magazines - then my friend Tracy showed up with lunch from Wendy's! I had a nice visit with her and my sister (who stopped by on her way to run some errands). After they left, I caught up on a few more of my DVR'd shows and got through a few more magazines. Then my sister, brother-in-law and nephew came back over to feed me dinner. After they left, I ended up spending a few hours uploading pictures to Facebook - I was a little behind.
This morning my sister came back to give me my morning progesterone shot. Then she came back a little later with my nephew. He yelled up the stairs, "I'm here to watch TV with you, Aunt Annie!" Adorable! We ended up watching some Nick Jr. shows and then put "Toy Story 3" in. My friend Lauren stopped by with her hubby for a little bit - they were in-town for a wedding reception. It was nice to see them! And Elphie came back to pick up some work paperwork she had left behind. My sister gave me some lunch before she headed back to her place with my nephew. My hubby got home around 3:30pm this afternoon - so good to see him. I hadn't showered or changed clothes since he left - so it was kinda like he never left. ;) Later in the afternoon my IVF buddy stopped by to visit and brought over some brownies - yummy! It was nice to catch up with her.
Thanks to all of you who stopped by to keep me company and brought me food/treats! And a special thanks to Elphie for spending the night on Friday and to my sister for being my back-up nurse! And thanks to those that offered their assistance - trust me, I would've called if I needed to and appreciate your offers just the same. And a big thanks to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, texts, and calls - we really appreciate your love & support.
I'm feeling good - my boobs feel a little sore, so I'm hoping that it's potentially a good sign. I don't think I felt much different after the transfer in January - so it could just be my mind making up symptoms to make me feel better. It is still kind of crazy to think they had to use up all 6 of our embryos to get us 2 good ones to transfer - but we are just very thankful that we had those last 2 to transfer! We are hoping & praying that our little embryos were able to break out of their shells and implant comfortably in their new home for the next 9 months. Good night! :)
