- They are each about 1 1/4 inch long and their vital organs are in place and starting to function - kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver.
- Their livers are now making blood cells - so the yolk sacs are no longer needed and starting to disappear.
- Fingers & toes are completely separated and little nails are starting to grow.
- Foreheads are large and temporarily bulging as their brains develop.
Baby Bump: In terms of my baby bump, I wouldn't say that I'm really showing yet. But I feel like I can tell a difference - especially if I put on one of the more snug maternity tops. I took a couple pictures in a maternity top last week - one in the morning and one in the evening. Not sure if it shows in the picture - but I definitely feel bigger in the afternoon/evenings. (Don't worry- I'm not wearing maternity tops to work yet. ;) Just thought this pink top might be a good baby bump shirt as it is quite stretchy and should give me lots of room to grow.) I feel like I'm at that stage where my normal clothes are a little snug - but I'm still not ready for maternity clothes. I may try to do a little shopping this week as I'm getting tired of switching between what used to be my "baggy" khakis and "bigger" jeans throughout the week. |
